We Made It! -Vanessa

We made it to Thailand!  Yipee!   The plane ride was sooooooooo long.  It took night. It took day.  The plane was humongous, and it had two floors.  The pilots sat on the top floor.  The plane's food wasn't that good.  During the plane ride,we flew over Alaska.  I saw white rocky mountains when I was staring out the window, and it was so beautiful.   I got a cool Japanese Fanta bottle.  It has Japanese writing on it.  I am bringing it back to show everybody. This is just the beginning of our trip.  So, you can keep looking back on our blog to see what we have been doing.  -Vanessa

We're in Boston in the top picture,
and we are in Thailand in the bottom one.

    1. Yeah, I was tired and cranky, but I smiled for a few pictures and the rest my face was grumpy. I'm still a little tired now, but I don't have a grumpy face.

  2. Vanessa, Wow! I love the pictures and sounds like you are already having a fantastic time! I can't wait to see the bottle with the Japanese writing on it! I so want to see Alaska someday even if it is only flying over it! Tomorrow I will read the blog to everyone and have them write back to you. Everyone keeps saying it's so weird without Vanessa here! I agree. I can't wait to read what else you are doing. I hope you were able to get a lot of rest today! I miss you! Love, Mrs. Erdmann

    1. I miss you all too, and I am having a fantastic time. I am excited because today I'm going to the beach. It is near Hua Hin. It is southwest of Bangkok on the map on this blog.

  3. Dear Vanessa,

Are you having fun in Thailand? Do you know the time difference between Maine and Thailand? What does the house look like where you're staying? Do you know the degrees of longitude and latitude of Bangkok, Thailand? Did you make any new friends? What is the beach like? What was the exact flight time to Thailand? What is the food like? Thailand is close to India and cobras are native to India so cobras might be native to Thailand. If there is cobras there, tell us if you get bit!!! (Andrew wrote that!) Did you feel the earthquake? We don't think so, but we a 2.4 earthquake in Maine yesterday! We were at school and it was loud! Can you tell us what the weather is like there? We miss you! Love, Lily, Amathyst, Kayla, Earl, Paige, Chrissy, Adam, Nathan, Lee, Gabby, Andrew, Dalton, Kyle, Brooke, Gwen and Mrs. Erdmann! ( P.S. You don't have to answer all the questions, but everyone was so excited to write to you! They were really interested in the weather and the time difference! Love, Mrs. Erdmann)

  4. Dear Everybody,

I miss you. Thank you for writing me. Yes, I am having fun in Thailand. The weather is sunny and warm. It's around 90-94 degrees. The time difference is 12 hours. The house is pretty big. It has four floors. I'm staying on the third floor. It is my uncle Na Yut's house. He is not my uncle, but he is a relative. It is proper in Thailand to call your elders aunt and uncle or Khun Yai (Grandma) or Khun Tha (Grandpa) even if they are not. I do not know the longitude and latitude of Bangkok. No, I haven't made any friends yet. I haven't been to the beach yet, so I don't know what it's like. But I'm going to the beach tomorrow. It took 21 hours of flying time to get from Boston to Bangkok. The food is okay, but I am eating a lot of rice. No Andrew, I haven't gotten bit by a cobra yet! Thank goodness! (-: No, I did not feel the earthquake because I'm across the world. I will make another post on the blog tomorrow. Have a great school day. Thank you for writing. Love, Vanessa
