Amazing Aquarium

Two days ago I went to an aquarium.  There were so many animals that it took three hours to go through to see each and every animal.   The first thing we saw were sand eels.  They were turquoise with black dots.  The next thing we saw were humongous crabs.  Their belly part was probably the size of a flattened coconut.  Their legs were the size of a baby's arm, but much thinner.  There were sea horses that were like as straight as a line.  Also, they swam with their noses facing towards the sand.  In the aquarium there was a rainforest exhibit.  They didn't have as many animals as in the ocean, but they had water rats, otters, tarantulas, snakes, and a few other animals.  When a man was feeding the otters and we were standing at the window, he threw food near us so we could get a close up of the otter.  The little otter was so cute.  I loved  the animals.

LEARN THAI:  Todays phrase is "Sa-Wa-Dee-Ka" (Girls end with Ka and boys end with Clup)
This means hello and good-bye.

Trip to the Aqarium

Yesterday, I went to an aquarium.  We are sitting on a bench in this picture and a fake shark is trying to eat us.  We had fun at the aquarium.  I saw a turtle with a flat shell.  The shell had spikes on it.  There were very small eels.  They made holes in the sand, and they went in and out of them.  I saw sea horses.  One kind of sea horse was swimming upside down.  I loved everything.  -Gavin

We Made It! -Vanessa

We made it to Thailand!  Yipee!   The plane ride was sooooooooo long.  It took night. It took day.  The plane was humongous, and it had two floors.  The pilots sat on the top floor.  The plane's food wasn't that good.  During the plane ride,we flew over Alaska.  I saw white rocky mountains when I was staring out the window, and it was so beautiful.   I got a cool Japanese Fanta bottle.  It has Japanese writing on it.  I am bringing it back to show everybody. This is just the beginning of our trip.  So, you can keep looking back on our blog to see what we have been doing.  -Vanessa

We're in Boston in the top picture,
and we are in Thailand in the bottom one.

Airplanes -Gavin

I am in Thailand.  I went on 3 airplanes to get here.  We went on the biggest and fastest commercial airplane.  It was a 747-400, and it went 586 mph.  It also had 2 floors.  On the 747-400 we stayed on the airplane a whole night and the morning.  We had dinner and breakfast on the airplane.  On the 2nd and 3rd planes they had tvs on the seats.  I was excited to get to Thailand.  -Gavin

We've arrived!

After 23 hours of flying time (28 hours travel time), we finally are in Bangkok, Thailand. It was a long journey, but the kids did pretty well besides a little air sickness from the turbulence.  It's 4 am and everyone is in bed now.  We enjoyed some sticky rice and pork satay when we arrived at my relative's home.  Good night, everyone.  The kids will begin blogging tomorrow.   -Tanya
